This is the first major solo exhibition in Italy dedicated to Doris Salcedo. Her work addresses themes of memory, mourning, and the enduring social reverberations of political violence. Through the rigorous manipulation of everyday materials, Salcedo gives voice to forgotten and anonymous victims, offering a vital counterweight to collective amnesia while centering experiences of empathy and grief. Though frequently anchored in specific historical events, her art resonates on a universal scale.
