On the occasion of PAC’s Project Room titled Imperfect Marriages. Stories and images from the Emi Fontana Gallery Archive (1992-2009), PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea and Cineteca Milano present the first screening of Emi’s Movie at Cinema Arlecchino, Milan. Directed by Alex Von Lac and produced with the support of PAC, the documentary is a homage to the life and work of Emi Fontana, an intimate portrait of a curator whose career has re-mapped the geography of contemporary art, blending creative rebellion, deep personal loss, and spiritual renewal. Through her relationships with key figures—from John Waters and Adrian Piper to Mike Kelley—the film traces Fontana’s lasting impact on the art world and beyond.
