Eva Marisaldi expresses herself by means of an eclectic, many-faceted artistic language which she develops by alternating photographs, actions, videos, animations and installations with embroidery and drawing techniques. Her works feature a lyrical narrative vein and, though she is inspired by reality, her study focusses on the hidden aspects of our everyday life, analysing it through her way of making art. A playful process that penetrates the spheres of imagination and fantasy. Asking herself questions on topics such as dialogue and communication, Marisaldi investigates the possibility of a reflection that is both individual and collective within the exhibition area, relating with it in a precise, sophisticated manner. Thus Marisaldi’s works don’t have an immediate impact; her interventions, fairly complex and obscure, are marked by an initial feeling of disorientation, requiring viewers to reflect long and carefully as they observe the works closely.

The autumn exhibition season will focus on Italian artists in honour of the National Day of Contemporary Art, promoted by AMACI (the Italian Association of Contemporary Art Museums) of which the PAC is a founding member. The artists who have been invited to participate belong to the generation born in the Sixties. On this occasion, a work of art will be gifted to the Museo del Novecento, adding to the value of its civic collections. The Eva Marisaldi (2018) and Cesare Viel (2019) exhibitions are part of this project.
